Professional Trader Programme

Professional Trader Programme

Launching your career

Schneider’s Professional Trader Programme (PTP), offers an opportunity to launch your career as a City trader. The established programme which has been running for over 12 years, is aimed at those who are committed and serious about pursuing a career in trading. The fully funded course is open to those who are seeking a challenge and enjoy a fast paced environment where they need to be on their toes and quick witted. Schneider is offering a professional and fully supported environment for the right people to shine and develop their career.

Professional training

The four week course assumes candidates have no prior knowledge of the industry and leads them through the basic trading and market terminology to help them develop professional insights, personal strategies and winning routines used by successful traders every day. The intensive course combines theory, psychological assessment and hands-on practical skills using Schneider’s state-of-the-art trading simulator and training facility in London. Candidates can get a true feel for a career as a trader using the same systems as Schneider’s experienced traders as they learn how to trade short term interest rates, government bonds, and commodities.

Assessment is made throughout the programme, and only the most competent will successfully complete the four week course. Successful candidates will become part of our comprehensive three-year post course coaching and mentoring scheme and will be fully supported on a self-employed basis.

The programme runs several times throughout the year, but there is strong competition for the limited places, so only the very best candidates will be invited to one of our group interviews. For successful candidates, this offers a fantastic opportunity to develop a career with Schneider that has the potential for limitless rewards.

Important information

Applicants should be aware that the programme takes place at Schneider’s central London offices and so for practical reasons, they must be in a position to commute on a daily basis ensuring they attend the programme in a timely manner. The course is a full time commitment – all candidates must have completed their studies before applying. We recruit all year round.

Please note, that although this course is fully funded and supported by Schneider, it is a self-employed position and so we do not offer a salary. Trainees must be economically self-sufficient for at least 6-9 months to be able to take full advantage of this opportunity and to give enough time to successfully develop their trading career.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom – working holiday or student visas cannot be accepted.
